Pi-Hole and Voip Device - Have one device bypass Pi-Hole?

Pi-Hole and Voip Device - Have one device bypass Pi-Hole?
I think Pi-Hole is messing with my VOIP Phone for work, I can call out but incoming goes straight to VM since setting up Pi-hole.

I set Pi-Hole as the DNS server for my router, is there any way to Have my work phone bypass the Pi-Hole without removing it as the DNS server for the whole network?

How do I update Pi-hole?

At this time, we cannot update Pi-hole from the Web interface as we need to restart the server, which would interrupt the update process.

Run the following command on your Pi-hole:

pihole -up

You will need to SSH into your machine or access it directly via a keyboard and monitor. Typically, Pi-hole is running as a headless server so SSH is the preferred choice to run the command.

Pi Hole Ad-Blocker Tweet Bot

This is a Python3 script bot that tweets out my Pi-Hole daily statistics to my Twitter developer account PIHoleT like total DNS queries blocked, total blocked ads for the current day, the percentage of ads blocked, and how many domains are currently blacklisted. There are more JSON data types associated with Pi-Hole and you can use whatever you want, I just chose the latter for the most accurate and coherent statistics.

This can also be used as a basic template to read and parse JSON data in Python 3, just fill in your URL instead of the one parsing from Pi-Hole.

Twitter Loading Slow Images and Pi Hole - Solved

Twitter Loading Slow Images and Pi Hole

Really struggling with Pihole and Twitter, lots of images not showing, tweets taking an abnormal time to send, the log doesn’t show anything being blocked, but turning my raspberry pi off fixes the issue, switching it back on and Twitter goes to pieces again.

Twitter Link Fail using Pi-hole | Pi-Hole is Blocking Twitter? - Solved

On twitter for iOS, I often read and tap on a link while behind PiHole #DNS blocker and the first click, fails (analytics link blocked by #PiHole) guess what happens when I tap the same link again? It opens. It knows the first link failed. So yeah. It knows a lot.

Pihole is blocking twitter.com AFTER login - what do I need to whitelist in PiHole?

I can go to twitter.com, login and afterward I got a "Something is technically wrong." error. I then punted back to the login screen.

This happen ONLY when I tried to access twitter.com when PiHole is enabled. If it is disabled, all is good.

Travel router and Pihole

I have a GL.iNet GL-AR750S-Ext Gigabit Travel router which I paired with a Pi Zero W. The travel router is set up to route everything through a VPN, I've noticed changing the DNS server on the router to use the pihole is not being allowed. My fix for this is to leave the pi as a wifi client and just point each device to the pi's IP for DNS adblocking.

I am visiting sites that are on the blocklist and I am noticing they are not being blocked. Any thought why this be occurring? I also see that most queries are being answered by cloudflare.

Pi-hole and GL-AR750

Hi, I've not been successful in pointing the dns of GL-AR750 to the attached pi-hole.

I'm setting up a pi-hole remotely for my buddy in Thailand. We've been unable to get into the fiberoptic modem/router to change dns settings so he purchased this GL-AR750 and connected it to the fiberoptic modem/router over wireless and then connected his computer via ethernet cable to the new travel router. The new network is working fine, and we can see where to forward and force router dns inquires to the pi-hole, but when we do=no internet at all.

How to exclude a device from Pi-hole

How to exclude a device from Pi-hole?

Hello, I am new to Pi-hole and cannot figure out how to exclude one of my home devices from using Pi-hole. The device (circled in red) is my ISP's smartTV box and for some reason it's making most of the queries on my Pi-hole. In this screenshot you can see that only one device is excluded from Pi-hole on my network - it is my Asus Router. I need to also add my ISP's smartTV Box - how do I do this? Tried to play around with "Groups" and "Clients" under "Group Management" but to no avail - the TV Box is still using Pi-hole and making lots of queries. I use v5 of Pi-hole.
