How do I change my PiHole Ethernet Interface?
I just set up my first pihole system but accidentally clicked on the wlan0 interface during the automatic install. Is there any way I can change it to eth without re-installing?
Run pihole -r and select reconfigure. Then select the correct interface and IP.
I updated today and now I’m finding my PiHole is not serving DNS to anything on my LAN subnet, but does appear to work when I connect via PiVPN.
I believe this is because the update seems to have changed my PiHole Ethernet Interface from eth0 to tun0. How do I correct this?
In the admin console go to Settings > DNS. Select Listen on all interfaces and save at the bottom of the page.
To reiterate anyone that is hesitating running pihole -r (like I had to do this past weekend) it doesn't wipe the install, just allows you to make changes. I originally hesitated doing it because I thought I would have to start over fresh.
One-Step Automated Install - get started quickly and conveniently may install Pi-hole using the following command:
code : curl -sSL https://install.pi-hole.net | bash
Or
Uninstall Pi-Hole :
code : pihole uninstall
